The Rector: Ven Nwora Nwigwe
Venerable Nwora Sam Nwigwe PhD was born on the 22nd of June, 1952 at Amaimo, Ikeduru L. G. A. in Imo State, Nigeria. His education took him to St. John’s Anglican School Amaimo between 1953-1960, Anglican Grammar School Onicha Uboma, 1961-1965; Bishop Lasbry Teachers Training College Irete; 1971-1972; Trinity Union Theological College, Umuahia 1977-1980; Trinity College Bristol, U.K. 1983-1986; University of Nigeria, Nsukka, 1987-1989 and Wycliffe Hall Oxford 1990-1991.
Some academic and administrative offices past and present held amongst others are; full time Lecturer Trinity Theological College, Umuahia, 2002 till date; Assistant Registrar, Trinity Theological College Umuahia, 2002- 2006; Acting Registrar, Trinity Theological College Umuahia, 2008 – 2009; Director of Sports Trinity Theological College, Umuahia, 2009 till date and Ikeduru Diocesan Director of Ordination – Training, Post Ordination Retreats and Continuing Education, 2009 till date.
Ven. Nwora Nwigwe was ordained a Deacon on the 13th of July, 1980 and a priest on the 20th of December, 1980. On March 3rd 1996, he was collated a Canon of St. Paul’s Cathedral Nsukka and Archdeacon of Diocese of Ikeduru on 3rd October, 2010. He has served in many religious capacities like, Bishop's Chaplain for Late Archbishop Nwankiti between 1980-1986, Parish Priest and Rural Dean in Owerri Diocese between 1986-1989 and Ikeduru Diocesan Director of Ordination – Training, Post Ordination Retreats and Continuing Education as well as resident Rector of BCCC from 2009 till date. He is Married with 6 children and 9 grandchildren.
